Inventory Challenge #42

Good morning everyone....wishing you all a fabulous Friday! Danielle and I welcome you to our weekly challenge. This week, our theme is "Something Old, Something New".
I must have misunderstood, because after checking Danielle's site, I noticed the challenge as "blue" not "new". No matter, my card fits regardless.
I am featuring Tilda with Hawaii Flower from the 2011 Butterfly Dreams Collection. I colored her with copics. For the cheeks and hair, I used chalks.
Something "old" is the beautiful lace, at least 40 years old....was once in my mother's sewing basket.
Something "new" is the beautiful Pion Design paper. Something "blue" is the paper and, of course, Tilda's dress.
The lovely metal corner was a gift from my sweet friend, Claudia.
The beautiful flowers were a gift from another sweet friend, Jacque.
I am also entering this card in SKETCH SATURDAY, utilizing their wonderful sketch for Week #165.

Now, I would like to invite you to visit my friends and teammates, DANIELLE, RENE, CATHY-LYNN AND SANDY and view their fabulous creations. Welcome back, sweet Sandy!!!
We are thrilled to have you back and treating us to your wonderful designs.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog. Your comments make my day!

The theme for next week will be: "Swirls and Curves"

  6. Hey! You made my day for sure!! LOL - I thought the challenge was something old and something blue too and that is really how I planned my card and then I think I saw that it was something old and something new so naturally I thought I was confused. Beautiful card Christina - 40 year old lace - that's pretty special. And of course the fact that it belonged to you Mother makes it even more so. Your card really has an antique feel to it and those papers are gorgeous. The inside is just as beautiful as the outside.
