Once Upon A Time and Journal Pages

A huge Hello to all my blogging friends! OMG......awakened this morning to over 2" of SNOW............and more on the way for tomorrow!!!!! I tell ya, winter is not willing to release its grip this year....! It's been a while since I made a card.....I have another addiction now.....mixed media art!!! LOL

This cutie is Tilda with Corkscrews and she is colored with copics. The castle in the background is a Great Impressions stamp. I sprayed the entire image with gold glitter spray. Papers are Magnolia.

I am continuing my journal pages and this time I utilized the lovely Tim Holtz stamps I received from a dear friend. I am really enjoying this journey into mixed media art. It's messy, but so much fun! Don't really know what I'm doing yet, but I'm definitely enjoying it!

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your support. I know it takes time to visit a blog and leave a comment, but I really do appreciate it so much. Big Hugs, Christina

Journal Pages......continued!

Good afternoon everyone....wishing you all a fabulous Sunday!!! I'm continuing my journey into mixed media art and proceeding with my journal pages. I've been afflicted with a lack of inspiration lately, so I've been reading instead of crafting. I'm presently reading Bill O'Reilly's book "Killing Lincoln" and I highly recommend it!

I really must get back to my card making....need lots of Christmas cards and I've really been slacking. If I don't pick up the pace, I won't get it done. I really do want to thank all my friends for visiting my blog and taking the time to leave a comment. I truly appreciate your support. Big Hugs, Christina

Easter Desserts

Well, I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. My Internet has been down AGAIN for the last three days and suddenly reappeared this morning. Who knows?????????? This is soooooo disheartening. I got a wireless router so my son and daughter don't have to go to the coffeeshop in town to work on their laptops and I know that was the problem. I got the royal runaround when I called my Internet provider. Needless to say, I was not a happy camper.
I'd love to share the goodies I made for Easter Dinner which I missed entirely because I was so tired by that time, I could not function anymore.

Good morning to all my lovely blogging friends. I am continuing my mixed media journey and I am sharing my second page of the journal with you. If you look close (Please don't!), you will see some smearing when I applied the medium gel....don't know why. I applied the heat gun and I used StazOn ink! Lots of color again. When I see wildflowers blowing in the breeze, it is like a symphony, hence the addition of the musical instrument. Would love to know what you think.

Wishing you all a bautiful Easter...........I have been very busy baking all week and I am looking forward to seeing my family. Thank you so very much for taking the time to visit my blog. Big Hugs, Christina

Journal Pages

Good evening everyone........hope your day was wonderful and that you are now taking time to relax and perhaps visiting blogs. Let me tell you, I'm really loving this mixed media stuff! Don't really know what I'm doing yet, but a very sweet friend sent me a wonderful journal and this is my very first entry! Sooooo, thank you my sweet friend for your thoughtful and generous gift. This is way out of my comfort zone, but I like the challenge............would love to know what you think! Hugs, Christina

Magnolia Easter and Saturated Canary birthday card

Good afternoon everyone.....it's been a very long time since my last posting! I'd like to share a Easter card I made for my mother. I recently had to place my mother in a nursing home...she lived with me for almost 16 years. Intellectually, I know it was time because she is currently in a wheelchair because walking has become too difficult for her. I would never be able to care for her and go to work or even sleep! She requires around the clock care now. Soooo, knowing all this, why do I still harbor guilt feelings??? It just feels strange at home, but I know, in time, I will adjust.

I made this Saturated Canary birthday card for my niece, a high school science teacher. She is also a breast cancer survivor....a very brave girl indeed. I'm very proud of her.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog and for your concern. It means so much to me. Love you all, Christina
