First Attempt at a Face
Hellooooooooo! This is my first attempt at a face (and maybe my last!) and I'm not very happy with it, but as I said, it is a learning experience! I was going for a softer look, but really botched the lips and she looks a lot sterner than I had intended! LOL Wish I could take a class in drawing, but, alas, I can't even find a tai chi class where I live so I will have to depend on videos............not much fun!!!!!
Would love to know what you think.....I really appreciate constructive criticism! Thank you for taking the time to visit............love hearing from you! Hugs, Christina

Ciao dear Christina my american friend...
ReplyDeleteIf the woman of your artwork smiled, I could tell that her is you...try again with the faces that you will become very good. The face of your lady seems to be a framework of Modigliani...

Wooooooow! Christina! I salute your daring such drawing experience. you constructed your canvas very nicely. Drawing faces is not easy, even in the simple traits. I love how you did yours, it is a first attempt, and you did very nicely. Love the décolleté with flowers, so haute couture! love the pretty shades of pink and all the nice elements. Wonderful work my friend. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteYou did well and she is not a bad face, she is edgy and artistic in a authoritive way. In fact I think a man would find her sexy as she appears soft and secretive. I love her eyebrows and she has skinny lips like me, see that is not a bad thing!! I do think your canvas is fabulous and I love the colors and all the elements you have in the background, you need to name her and I think she is pretty!!

You are so courageous, drawing!!! I stick to stamp, thank you very much, lol!!!! Your background is beautiful and she looks good. She just looks a little sad and I love her red lips. Hugs, Brigitte
ReplyDeleteI think it is a beautiful work! The face is elegant with her long neck and has an ironic expression.
ReplyDeleteChristina you blow my mind - believe me you do. I think it is an excellent face and your painting might be speaking to you -- telling you something about yourself. Christina I am so very proud of you - it takes courage to step out of your comfort zone. You are doing a great job Sugar.

My post just disappeared.... :(
ReplyDeleteChristina, you did a fantastic job. Nobody could draw a face like you did on their first try. I love her angular face, her swan like neck and her hair. The only thing I would do is make the one iris a bit bigger to match the other one. Ausgezeichnet !!!!!
