Hooked Tilda
Let me tell you, it is unprecedented for me to post twice in one day......but, I just had to color this adorable Tilda from the new Summer Memories Collection.
It is a very simple, one-layer card because I simply could not cover up more than absolutely necessary of this beautiful Magnolia paper!
Tilda is colored with copics and masked so she sits on the Magnolia boat, also from the new collection. The fish is one of my Stampscapes stamps, which I thought would work perfectly with the scene. This Tilda reminds me so much of my daughter, a total outdoors person and avid fisherman!
I have decided to enter this card in a new challenge blog "Tilda's Town" where Anything Goes.....love those kind of challenges! I am also entering it in Deep Ocean Challenge with the theme "What a Wonderful Woman"!
Thank you for visiting my blog. Your comments mean so much to me! Hugs, Christina

Fishing Tilda - and a very successful one, from the looks of it! Darling card, Christina, and simply cute enough on its own, without a lot of embellishments. You've given it just the right "touch".
ReplyDeleteYour image is as cute as she can be!!! The first thing I thought of was your daughter. I remember you telling me that she like all this kind of stuff. Now that fish is wonderful - it really made the card Christina. What a catch. Yep the paper is pretty and your coloring is wonderful. I still love that fish!!

Hi Christina, your card is so adorable! I didn't get this image and now after seeing your wonderful card, I wish I did. Magnolia didn't put very much line on Tilda's fishing pole, but she was still was able to catch a nice fish!! :-)I love the scene you have created! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Suzan
Hahahha! Tilda looks like she's totally into this fish! She's coloured so beautifully as always .. having a grand 'ol time on her little fishing boat that you've made for her! :) Gosh, I remember fishing so much as a little girl and growing up back in the Islands. Now .. if you'd ask me to touch a live fish on the end of a pole with a hook in it's mouth .. I'd probably end up turning the other way and say, "Uh-uh .. no way." LOL!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a great weekend Sweetie!
Much Love,
Elise

What a lovely cards, great coloring, image and papers, hugs Janny
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I hope she doesn't fall in. That fish looks like he is giving her a good fight. The boat is actually from Summer and Sea Collection. I think 2009. I knew as soon as I saw Hooked Tilda I had to bring in the boat, that it would be perfect for her. Your colouring is excellent and yes the paper is gorgeous as you say. I also love the rose paper.

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous Christina! No wonder you couldn't wait to colour her :D and I agree about not covering up the paper, I have a terrible time with that also but with most cards I make :D! Have a good week sweetie. Hugs, Chris
ReplyDeleteOh Christina, what a sweet Tilda. She looks adorable and your coloring is perfect. You were right to not cover the gorgeous Magnolia paper and it too makes you focus on the picture and not all the other pretty extras you usually add.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week my friend.
